Plandomization

Crossfit's programming is defined as being "Constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensities" ...while there is nothing wrong with this , I find that the word varied often gets confused with being random. That simple change in ones view of programming totally neglects an individuals awareness and education for well thought out programming. Anyone can randomly throw exercises and rep schemes together. Will this approach render results?..perhaps...but to a limited degree. Programs that are well thought out with specific goals can never reach limitation because of the ability to change ones goals. This is what excites me as a trainer , the ability to assess clients' weaknesses and look to design a program that strengthens these weaknesses all while not allowing strong points to diminish. Sound familiar? " an individual is only as fit as he/she is competent in the ten physical skills"

"An entirely random approach to training, in my humble, lowly, uneducated opinion, is a mistake. Being prepared for any random task is not the same thing as preparing randomly for any task. The importance of this point cannot be overstated."
