Mind over Matter


I think we all can relate to our brain telling us to back off and then if we choose to let it , soon a path filled with negative thoughts overwhelm us. Learning how to mentally prepare yourself and to sustain your focus is just as important as the training you put forth. Next time you find yourself thinking thoughts such as "this is gonna kill me , I can't do this , im gonna get whooped" stop these thoughts and instead visualize yourself succeeding and staying calm and focused.

Overlook

Many of us far too often overlook the impact and the importance of our daily decisions. Little choices we make every minute play a huge roll in terms of creating failure or success. Because these minute decisions don't seem very impact full, we tend to overlook just how instrumental they are.

As Jeff Olsen points out in The Slight Edge "doing things that are easy-little disciplines, which, done consistently over time, add up to the biggest accomplishments. The problem is that all those things that are easy to do are just as easy not to do. Why is something easy not to do? Because if you don't do it, it won't kill you today. But, that simple, seemingly insignificant error in judgment, compounded over time, will kill you, destroy you, ruin your chances for success, and demolish your dreams. You can count on it."

I encourage you to focus on all your actions and ask yourself is this choice i'm making leading me toward success or failure?

Crossfit Women

Way too often we fall short of achieving what were capable of. We give in to the mental blocks placed on ourselves by what looks unachievable and sounds too hard. Don't fall short of all your capable of, keep pushing and stay focused on your task. The end result will be astonishing.

WOD


Last Friday I put together a workout for Kris Kepler and I to try. The workout was pretty intense and challenging(as are most crossfit workouts). Anyhow I wanted to post it and get some feed back for those who dare to try. Kris and I finished the workout in 6 minutes.
